It's 2189 and like most people you're living on a space station cause Earth is a wreck. (Yeah some people went to Mars back in the day with Elon but your great....great....great grandparents or whatever were like nah I'm good.) You're chilling by a window watching a tsunami in the Indian Ocean pickup when some asteroids that were supposed to pass in the distance suddenly collide into some space debris.

Weeeeow! Weeeeow! The asteroid alarm goes off: Welp, there go those views of the tsunami tossing up sunken cargo ships with actual gas cars from way way back in the day! You run, you scramble--everyone tries every evasive maneuver but it ain't doing nothing. KABOOM! The asteroid collides into your space station and you're front and center.

But wait, as you're clutching the valves closed on your evacuation space suit, some debris from the asteroid slams you against the not-so-fluffy space capsule walls and you see that it's covered in some strange moving and mutating space ooze. Whoa! You though you were in trouble before--now you're really about to face the Wrath of Khan. It starts oozing towards you like it's gonna Venom you up--like old school Topher Grace Venom.

You're not having it though: you either die a hero or...

So you pull the pod eject event though the sequence hasn't fully initiated and WHOOSH! You're spiraling down to Earth in and out of consciousness fighting off this ooze as it slowly clamors consumes you....

BAM! You, your escape pod, and the consuming space ooze crash into a cave! And then there's nothing but darkness for a bit....(kind of like your Saturdays in college 👻).

You barely regain consciousness--groggy and disoriented--to the sound of flapping wings in the darkness of the cave debris: NO!

A bat bites into you and the mutant ooze creeping up your neck through the rip in your evacuation suit...

Was the ooze delicious? Did it taste like some weird space goo fruit roll-up and the bat just had to have it? Who knows! You, the ooze and the bat begin to merge! You rip off your evacuation helmet and try clawing at the ooze and the bat but it's too late...the Venom style merge is happening..

You let out a howling scream and BAM! You're a Space Bat!

This fused being of human, bat and mutant ooze gene.

Staggering out of the cave, your realize that you have a strange unrealized power: you can breath the carbon dioxide Earth filled air without an oxygen mask...the sun rays blasting through the depleted Ozone Layer don't burn your Space Bat skin as they did when you were human...

There's something lighter about your claw like feet...

You have a different relationship with gravity! Oh yeah, you have wings now! They...whoa!...You can fly and fast...like warp speed fast...

You crash into some buildings at first but then it's higher and higher you go...

No way! You just just flew into space...you see the debris of your wrecked space station. No one else survived.

In your mind, a new knowledge arises. You feel this sense of other worlds. Somehow you know, the coordinates of a distant galaxy--of a world there. Was that ooze sentient? It has to be.

Still trying to be human, you use your wings to blast towards another settlement space station orbiting Earth but just as you approach they being to fire their defense beams towards you. Oh that's right, you're a Space Bat now. To them, you're a literal alien approaching.

Something tells you that the distant world you somehow recollect is where to begin your journey to understand what you are now...your journey to see what you will become and if being human again is in the cards for you.

And so your adventure begins...
